United we stand, divided we fall.

With the myriad of complex cyber threats looming on the horizon, it is vital that we realize, the new front line of any cyber defense system is without a doubt, the end user.

Cyber security experts are also starting to understand that the weak point in any networking system are those who access the network legitimately.

The new buzzword according to Yankee Group Analyst Andrew Jaquith is "Herd Mentality". He goes on to say this will be one of the most effective way for vendors to deal with the ever emerging cyber attacks.

This makes sense, but the question is how to implement such a system and keep the privacy of each individual user separate from cyber threat intelligence gathering.

There are certain vendors like Panda Security & Sana Security who are already implementing this type of cyber threat intelligence and I predict we will be seeing much more of this in the coming year.as long as the end user feels safe having his computer constantly sending information back to the security company.
