TALLAHASSEE - State officials arrested a Punta Gorda man Monday for allegedly soliciting sex online from a 14-year-old girl in Manatee County.
Adam Nelson Norsell, 24, was arrested by members of the attorney general's Tampa CyberCrime Task Force when he arrived to meet the girl with a poem called "Forbidden," officials said.
According to a news release from Attorney General Bill McCollum, Norsell, 24, had chatted online with a 14-year-old girl, who notified a parent when the chats became sexual.
The parent contacted Bradenton police and a member of the CyberCrime Task Force took over the chats.
Norsell will be charged with one count of solicitation of a minor by computer, a third-degree felony, and one count traveling to meet a minor, a second-degree felony, the news release stated.
Conviction carries a sentence of up to 20 years in prison.
